The Cycling Preacher came along. And he spoke.

-Thursday, December 30, 2004-

1 Corinthians 10:23 "Everything is persmissible" - but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible" - but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good, but for the good of others.
1 Corinthians 10: 31 - 32 "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble..."

Why the sudden biblical verse? And why specifically these two?I believe that these verses would reach out to a special group of people whose often pursue their own happiness rather than that of others. Your own happiness does not automatically equate to that of the other party. It was never mutually exclusive, nor can it be made so.

Cause a fellow sibling in Christ to stumble, and your sins are even more grevious. Know why? Firstly, the mere thought of it is already a sin. Secondly, there is bound to be the planning of how you would want to achieve this goal of yours. Thirdly, the actual execution of the results of your planning, and this can be over a couple of days, to weeks on end.Why do I know all this? Well, from the experience of counselling others and drawing from my personal experiences.

Some people are meant to be together. Period. Why break them apart when you know that you would eventually lose this person even as a friend?
Reconsider your actions, and heed my advice.
Leave them alone. It's time to make that trip down to Church for Confession.

Est Sularus Oth Mithas.

prancing to your tune
8:01 PM

The Little Fairy of the Pea
"Like a moth to a flame.Burnt by the fire."

Come close enough.

Her air,

Her poise,

Her stance of like,

Who isn't mesmerized by the Fairy's dance?

She flutters her wings,

Dances amidst the crowd,

Sucked deep into the euphoria.

She basks in the aura of its trance,

Its delirium.

Skipping,

Smiling impishly.

The world is the fairy's playground,

Her troubles hidden away beneath her wings.

Now, who won't be mesmerized by the fairy's dance?

Flitting through the woods On wings of gossamer

The Elfin Queen Sparkles with the magic Of the woodlands

She's rarely seen By you or I

Tho if you listen

Carefully Her song is carried by the breeze,

A tinkle of bells To charm and please

and welcome you to the sunny dells
